A Few Things....
"A few changes:
Personal messages disabled
I spent a few hours checking and cataloguing ALL personal messages conversations since January 1st 2010.
I came to the conclusion that users are not using them as they should. Here are my findings:
- 12.4% of the personal messages contain nothing harmful.
- 87.6% of the personal messages are against our terms of service.
The worst thing is that only 4.9% of all the messages against our terms of service are being reported as such.
Another major problem are the compulsive user's PMs to force their referrals to click more. I took the first 50 users that received such messages and 24 of those have stopped their activity in the next 30 minutes after reading such messages.
This is completely intolerable and by being so the private messages will cease to exist.
I was always against this but, since users had to have it because it was cool, I made it happen. Needless to say that I was right and that this is indeed a harmful tool.
You'll see the maintenance message until I fully remove everything. It should happen in the next 72 hours.
Rental period
To avoid the usual whining, instead of renting referrals for one month, you'll be renting referrals for 30 days.
This will eliminate the need to have repeated topics in February.
This change will be fixed every month and it will simplify calculations for everyone. It will always be 30 days as the extension periods.
This change will be implemented in the next 72 hours.
Current recycle discount
Since the recycling discount was introduced a few months ago, I'm witnessing a rise in the quantity of recycling being made. I fear that this will lead to the same mistake when pricing was low when users recycled more than they should.
I'll keep the current price unchanged but I'll be monitoring excessive recycling to determine if this is a benefit or not for the users. If anything is changed I'll let you know.
As always, please recycle with care and conscience. Over recycling will do more harm than good.
Precise referral tracking
Two days ago I've added a few numbers to the mask of referrals that have their username hidden. This will let me track down in a more precise way, how the new filter is working and thus let me tune it in a finer way.
The previous masking algorithm worked but this one will give me more detail especially on recycling trends based on activity. So far it's giving me a better perspective on how the users manage their referrals and this will help create a better tool for us all (no promises for now).
Your current referrals will remain with the previous masking but new ones will have a different one. This is only a label change and it will not modify the filtering.

This is only related to reopened accounts for the 30 day inactivity rule.

Just as a trivia, this user had his/her account reopened for inactivity 6 times (so far).

This is the highest of all payments we've made.

This is the total number of users (referrals) that are being paid using AutoPay.

"There are no more limits of monthly purchases amount using credit cards with AlertPay at NeoBux.There is, however, a limit of $500 per transaction (not monthly) using credit cards with AlertPay.
This information is related to purchases made at NeoBux using Credit Cards with AlertPay and may differ from purchases made with other merchants."

Private messages are here
"To celebrate our first year, we're introducing the Private Messages.
Although they were design to serve only as a referral comunication service, it would be a bit boring so, you can send private messages to:
* Direct referrals
* Rented referrals
* Forum users
Obviously, you can only send private messages to users who have them enabled and you'll also have to enable them in your personal settings.
We're going to start generous and provide a high limit on the maximum allowed number of messages sent.
This limit will be defined by the total number of messages sent in the last 24 hours and it will vary depending on user's membership and pack.
So, the current limits in 24 hours are:
* Standard: 5 messages
* Golden: 10 messages
* Golden + Emerald/Sapphire: 15 messages
* Golden + Platinum/Diamond: 20 messages
* Golden + Ultimate: 30 messages
Every time you have new messages, you'll seen an envelope on the top right of the page, to the left of your username.
Clicking on it (or on the "Private Messages" link in your account) will take you to the list of your current messages.
Messages will be grouped by conversation.
A conversation is a new message.
You can either reply to that conversation (adding new messages to it) or start a new one.
You cannot delete individual messages but you'll be able to delete an entire conversation.
Within each conversation, you'll be able to see all messages you've sent and received, ordered by descending date (most recent messages on top).
For every message you receive, you can report it to our support staff.
This will be done to avoid any kind of violation of our Terms of Service.
Please be aware that reporting messages that don't violate our Terms of Service is not allowed and will be considered an offense.
All reported messages will be seen and warning will be given to all that violate the Terms of Service with their message contents.
After a certain numbers of warnings, all access to the Forum, Chat and Private Messages will be denied.
Conversations are automatically deleted after 7 days of inactivity.
You'll notice that section 1 of our Terms of Service has changed a bit. I suggest you read it.
If you find anything out of the ordinary, feel free to report it here.
The current limit will be fine tuned later depending on what happens in the next hours/days.
Remember to be nice and non-instrusive.
Avoid asking personal questions and forcing users into doing something.

Direct referrals (updated)
"First of all, thank you for all that understood the decision on limiting the direct referrals.
Also, I would like to thank all of your opinions as they contributed to a major revision of that rule.
These are the limits or direct referrals based on membership/pack:
* Standard: 30
* Pioneer: 60
* Golden: 200
* Golden+Pioneer: 250
* Golden/Emerald: 300
* Golden/Sapphire: 300
* Golden/Platinum: 400
* Golden/Diamond: 400
* Golden/Ultimate: 800
As you can see, the limits are the same but, something better has been planed.
Two limiting rules will be added today:
1) Minimum eligibility for having direct referrals
All members, after registering will need to have the following to be able to get direct referrals:
* 100 clicks made
* Been registered for at least 30 days
This will limit many cheating attempts (although many go Golden and start cheating afterwards).
It will also contribute to a more stable clicking habit.
After these rules are met, the limit above takes place.
2) Limit increase based on registered days
Depending on how many days you've been registered, all those days, after the 30 defined in point 1 until the present day, will count towards a limit increase.
This means that the older member you are, the more referrals you may have.
The amount will be based on your current membership/pack and the days you're registered (minus 30). This amount will vary and is explained below:
* Standard/Pioneer = Days divided by 4
* Golden (without a pack) = Days divided by 2
* Golden (with a pack) = Days
For example, and referring to older members (with 300 days in this example):
* Standard= 30 + (300/4) = 105
* Golden = 200 + (300/2) = 350
* Golden (Ultimate) = 800 + 300 = 1100
As you can see, this is a major boost towards the fixed limit and goes according to most requests.
So, in short, a member has to be a month old and have a good clicking activity to be able to have direct referrals.
The older the member is, the more direct referrals he/she can have.
This changes are already effective.
You can now select the direct referrals you want to remove. Use it wisely."

"I've seen the worst account management in NeoBux history.
We're have I seen it? Everywhere.
So, either you like it or not, I'm here to teach you about account management.
In this first class, we'll be learning how to recycle.
So, grab a seat, a mug of coffee and read on...
Recycle: This is the most powerful tool you can have to enhance your earnings.
It's so powerful that is being completely misused.
Let's start with the story behind the recycling process...
Whenever you recycle a referral, you get a new one. No surprises here.
The referral that got fired, isn't tossed to the lions. After 15 days of being recycled, if his/her activity is back on the general rule of 10 clicks in 5 days, that user goes back to the rental distribution and can be rented or exchanged by another user again.
My in-depth analysis shows that 61% of the recycled referrals are indeed good users after those 15 days (I don't count the solitary days).
This clearly shows that many users are being recycled like crazy.
There are many types of people in this world and yes, like in Noah's Ark, we have a couple of each species.
There are the excellent clickers: A good and hard-working user who religiously never misses a day of clicking. These are hard to find, especially when they have no referrals to work for.
There are the once-upon-a-time clickers: We can easily divide these in two groups: The ones that click every other day (either because they click twice in a day or because they share an account) and the ones that click half (or about) the minimum advertisements available (also account sharing takes place as many daily normal activities people have with friends and family).
There are the never-never clickers: These are the funny ones. They register but either never login or login but never click. These mostly come from referral's exchange and are here just to look at the funny pretty colors.
There are click-and-got-tired clickers: These ones click on the first day(s) and then, all of the sudden, they get tired. Usually, it's not a wrist strain or a non working mouse but the deception of seeing only 1 cent per click. Daddy always gives them more as an allowance.
There are the I-got-my-wife/mother-in-law/dog/boss on my back ones: These are the folks you see in the street rushing to work in the morning and getting home late at night. They do try to click but fail sometimes because there's something else more important to do.
There are the crazy ones: These are classified as miscellaneous behavior individuals... you never know what they'll do next.
So, after this mini classification, you'll see that everyone has their own life and ambitions.
We have hundreds of users daily requesting us to reopen their accounts because they've been suspended because of being inactive for more than 30 days. Besides the usual hospitalization justification, the second one is always "I got scammed in PTC nr 195782 or in PTC nr 840932.
This means that a bad clicker or inactive user can become an excellent one or, sometimes, it's just the other way around.
This leads me to the account management itself.
Most users recycle referrals as they were part of the same religion or soccer team. Trust me, they're not!
There is no "this works for everyone" strategy. No universal solution for the good management mystery. But, there is something that you can do in your account that you do each day in numerous situations in your life: judge!
You take a walk down the street and you see people, right? Either you like it or not, you judge them. But, until you know them, you judge them based on pre-defined ideals. You separate them by sex, weight, hair color, etc. How many times have you classified someone as bad and got to be their friend and enjoy their company?
Referrals are people too... and most of you keep making the same mistakes over and over again as you do in real life.
Get to know your referrals better. Try to imagine each one as a person and analyze their clicking behavior. This will lead you to understand if they're just playing around or really want to be good users but can't.
One by one is a hard task for those who many referrals... I never said it would be easy.
Like being a boss of a 3 people company is way easier than being a boss for a multinational factory with thousands of workers. The more you have, the more you have to work.
And now, let's take a quick look at the free recycle.
It's good, right? Free is always nice.
But, here free can cost you... a lot! Many users use this free recycling as a way of saving but, most of them are not saving but losing in the end.
It's very simple. You rent a referral for $0.20 (example). This means that for 14 days, this referral cost you around $0.10, correct?
So, are you letting him be paid for doing nothing for 14 days and get a new one for free or are you going to recycle him/her?
In the first option, while you don't pay a thing to have that referral recycled, you've lost $0.10.
If you've recycled him/her in the first place, you'd only lose $0.08 and would have 14 days where most likely the new user would have clicked some advertisements thus making you earn.
See the difference? Think about it.
Please, don't stare and drool at other users statistics.
You're as good as they are.
You have the tools and you need to use them.
Referrals are real persons... active, lazy, caffeine addicted and sometimes ugly.
So, waste a little more time. You'll be working towards a better goal: your profit.

Golden Pack beta phase begun"Since I'm bored, the Golden Pack beta phase has already began 2 hours before the time.
There are just a couple things I need to tell you at this point.
- You cannot upgrade from the pack you choose now until the beta phase end (I don't see why you would actually).
- You'll be given a full year of the chosen pack now and it will be reset from the moment it goes live.
- On the Ultimate pack, your current golden membership won't be extended now. It will be extended as soon as the beta phase ends (along with the pack's year reset).
- This beta phase is "free" since the year will be reset after it ends. However, everything that is functional can be used for your benefit / earnings. Everything you earn or save in the beta phase won't be reset.
- Due to the last week events, there are only two features missing: "Rental Queue" and "Vacation Mode".
Important:
Please post any bug you may find (or any doubt) while using your select pack on this thread.
Do not create separate threads, please.

"Rental Queue
The rental queue allows you to rent referrals by ordering them.
If your Golden Pack has the rental queue feature, you'll be able to order 50, 100, 200 referral depending on the pack.
You still have to respect the waiting days between rentals.
You can only choose this option after the minimum days between rentals have passed.
You'll be able to see how many days it will for your pack to arrive so that you can decide if you want to order the pack or try the normal way.
As soon as you order a pack, you'll only be able to rent or order another pack after you receive the ordered pack and the limit of days end after that.
Referrals per Page
Standard and Golden members (without packs) can view 100 referrals per page.
Depending on your pack, if available, you can view 150, 200 or 300 referrals per page.
Jackpot Tickets Discount
If your pack has this feature, you'll have a discount on each ticket you purchase at any jackpot (including MegaJackpot).
All ticket purchases using AlertPay will still be in multiples of $5.00 as the discount will be applied when you actually purchase the tickets.
Depending on the pack, if available, the discount will be 5%, 10% or even 15% of the ticket price.
Inactivity Days Free Replacement
Some packs will allow your inactive referrals to be replaced for free before the usual 14 days.
Depending on your pack, if this feature is available, it can be 12, 10 or even 7 days.
Vacation Mode
Depending on your pack, you will be able to have a vacation mode of 7, 15 or even 30 days.
On the days you choose, TOS 3.7 limitation won't exist. This means that you'll earn from your referrals on the days you'll be away.
You can only set the maximum of days available within the year of pack.
You'll be able to set one day at the time or several at once.
You can only set vacation days after 48 hours from the current time and you'll be able to cancel them if they're 48 hours before that date.
On the days you've chosen, your account will be unavailable. You'll be able to login but the account will remain fully locked until the day(s) end. This will prevent anyone from trying to login to your account while you're away.
Remember that this won't automatically pay for your referrals or recycle them so please make sure you check your referrals before long vacations.
Recycle Discount per Referral
Depending on your pack and if this feature is available,you'll have a discount over the current price when you recycle your referrals either individually or in group.
The discount can be $0.01 up to $0.03 per referral.
Days between cashouts
This will allow to skip the pre-estabilished 4 days limit between cashouts.
Depending on the pack and if this feature is available, the waiting days can be 3, 2 and even 1.
Maximum Referral Package Available
This will be the biggest pack of referrals you can choose to rent.
Certain golden packs will allow you to go beyond the current 100 referral's pack to packs with 150, 200 or even 300 referrals.
AutoPay Minimum Days Limit
While the current AutoPay rule only allows AutoPay to be triggered on referrals with 20 or more days up to their due date, some packs will allow AutoPay to work on referrals with less days to their due date.
Depending on the pack, it can be 18, 14 or even 10 days until the referrals due date.
Maximum Limit to Rent Referrals
Currently there is a limit of 2000 referrals that can be rented.
Once you reach that limit (either from renting or from the Referral Jackpot), you won't be able to rent anymore.
Certain packs will allow you to override that limit allowing you to rent below 2500, 3000 and even 4000 referrals.
Monthly Payment Discount (above $0.20)
If your pack has this feature, all payments you make for another month on your referrals, including AutoPay, will have a pre-determined discount depending on the pack.
The discount can be $0.01, $0.02 and even $0.03 per referral.
Please be aware that if the referral's next monthly payment value minus the discount is less than $0.20, it will revert to $0.20 as this is the minimum price limit.
This is a discount for monthly payments (including AutoPay) and not for the first rent.
Available Advertisements
Depending on your pack, you can have a minimum of 10, 12 or even 15 advertisements.
While you'll have more advertisements, you'll still be a Golden member. This means that the minimum amount of advertisements you have to visualize to follow TOS 3.7 will still be 9.
Your Standard Advertisement Clicks Value
Depending on your pack, you'll earn more from your own clicks on standard view advertisements.
You can $0.012, $0.015 or even $0.020 more.
Extended view advertisement's clicks and your referral's clicks will still be credited to you with the usual value.

How to buy or upgrade Packs
Golden Packs can only be bought by Golden members with 500 clicks made or more.
To purchase or upgrade a pack, you need to transfer the necessary amount to your Golden Pack Balance.
You can transfer it all at once or little by little as you see fit.
Ultimate Pack benefits
Besides being the best value for money, you'll also get your current Golden membership extended to the end of the Ultimate Pack's year.
Also, when renting referrals, you'll be able to bypass the "special days of the week" meaning that you can try to rent every day of the week.
This offers / features are only for Ultimate Packs.
Upgrades
Upgrades can be made from and to the packs specified on the Packs page only.
The upgrade will cancel all benefits from the current pack you have that will be replaced by the pack you'll upgrade to.
Upgrading won't extend your pack's due date.
Upgrading from one pack to Ultimate won't extend your Golden membership."

Golden Pack Pre-Order Extension
Due to the recent event regarding PayPal, the Golden Pack Pre-Order will be extended from October 13th 18:00 to October 25th 12:00 (server time).
That's (almost) 12 more days extended beyond the previously set limit.
The pack selection will still begin at 18:00 October 13th (server's time).
You will be able to select your pack from this time until the end of the pre-order.
When you pick your pack, you'll have for 1 year.
Since this is an experimental phase, the time for your pack will be reset to a full year when the packs are ready for normal purchase.
After the pre-order ends and until the normal purchase begins, no one can select a pack.
Due to all the setbacks of the recent events, probably not all features will be available on October 13th but I'll try my best.
This is an exceptional extension and it won't be repeated.

Bad News
I have bad news.
PayPal "decided" to put a permanent limit to our account.
As soon as I noticed that, I had to stop PayPal services at our site until I could give them a call this morning.
I called them and, besides being treated like some criminal, the only valid explanation I got was that we had too many transactions and a big balance.
Although anyone's bank would love that, it seems that PayPal considers a good business a risk and there's nothing that can be done about it as we've agreed to a "do whatever you want with our account" agreement.
The worst part is that 72% of our funds are now frozen.
We wont take this as an "excuse" as some did and we'll continue with our instant payment policy.
There won't be any price raise, there won't be any delayed payments.
The only thing we ask is for your help.
As you may understand, this is a big hit and something has to be done to restore financial stability.
I will put up a donate link soon and every donation you can do will help us get through this.
I never asked for this but this time it's the only alternative to continue strong.
No one will be forced to do this nor a fixed amount will be set. You'll donate only if you want to and with the amount you want to.
Everything will remain the same (instant cashouts to AlertPay, prices, etc).
The only thing that will be gone is really PayPal (both purchases and cashouts).
We're still NeoBux and it won't be this that will destroy us. It just makes me sad.

Evolution
It's my pleasure to present you the Golden Packs.
We've gathered many of the most requested features into 5 distinct packs to enhance the functionality and earnings of Golden members.

So, how will this work?
Quite simple, actually.
First let me tell you that they will be available on a limited number and only for Golden members with more than 500 clicks.
You can only buy a single pack.
You can later upgrade to a larger one with a price to be determined soon.
These prices are for a full year of advantages.
Each pack will have it's own set of functionalities and features.
The Ultimate Pack will have all of the other pack's functionalities and features along with a much higher benefit.

Special days of week for renting.
"As proposed earlier, there will be special days of the week dedicated for some users to rent referrals.
This will only apply for Golden members since other members still rent a small portion of their quota.
This will work the following way:
Sunday: Only users without rented referrals can try to rent on this day.
Monday: Only users with less than 201 referrals can try to rent on this day.
Tuesday: Only users with less than 501 referrals can try to rent on this day.
The rest of the week: Everyone (including the mentioned above) can try to rent referrals.
So, here's the days of week you can rent depending on the rented referrals you have:
No referrals: You can try to rent everyday.
Less than 201 referrals: You can try to rent from Monday to Saturday.
Less than 501 referrals: You can try to rent from Tuesday to Saturday.
More than 500 referrals: You can try to rent from Wednesday to Saturday.
These weekdays are determined by the server's time.
And I ask all of you that have lost one, two or three days per week to try to rent referrals to understand that those with none or less referrals than you also deserve a chance.
All previous limits are still in place: You can rent once each 7 days with a maximum of 2000 referrals.
For those granted the special days, don't forget that this is to help you have much more chances to rent. It won't be a miracle but it will certainly help a lot.
This is already in place so that it starts on Sunday.
Don't forget that this is only for Golden members.

The road so far

So, to me, NeoBux celebrates today the 6th month of existence.
This time I would like to talk about the concept of NeoBux.
NeoBux was developed basically as a proof-of-concept.
It was made to show the PTC world how wrong the previous concept was and where that would lead.
Of course, this wasn't easy.
The first weeks were weeks of pressure from other PTCs.
We were tagged as dead from the start.
Obviously I thought that those tags coming from sites that failed to pay their users, was certainly their only way to get NeoBux of their way.
And I was right.
While this wasn't (and still isn't) a competition, we became their biggest threat.
It's not easy for PTCs that were delaying payments to have another one throw "Instant Payments" to their faces and uncover their plot.
But, instant payments was just the beginning of our transparency and of their headaches.
Obviously instant payments was just one of the things that had to be done to stop the greed that lead to delays.
But, we went one step further... we offered 10% commissions on direct referral's purchases.
"Crazy" they labeled us... "Instant Payments and they're giving money away?"... from "dead from the start" we were given another month of life.
Then, we went to do another "crazy" thing... referral renting.
Now we were really crazy (besides the "dead and buried part)!
Why would we give users lots of referrals with a low cost of acquisition? Because we care about users.
And one thing they never could accept was that we actually had real referrals to offer. Now, that was a stab in the heart of the PTC industry. And today, I still see that many users are so addicted to those "virtual referrals" that forgot everything about the real ones.
Oh... we gave out referral's statistics.
Everything others tried so hard to hide so that you wouldn't be able see what you were not supposed to see, we've shown it to our users.
If we're serious, why should we hide that from you? Should I tell you that the ones that called us crazy didn't like that? They didn't.
Then, we went to PayPal.
Those who got PayPal to shut their doors to PTCs were calling us "crazy" again. And we loved it!
Time after time I've learned that being crazy is was actually a good thing.
So, this is how NeoBux started... as a "walking-dead crazy" PTC on the eyes of Admins of sites that give out every kind of excuse to keep their user's money.
But, I know they we're kidding and they felt exactly the opposite.
What have we achieved from this?
Exactly what we wanted.
We've innovated and we've changed mentalities.
We've uncovered sites that don't pay because they ran out of excuses (while some still try).
Now, every excuse they give is a big "whatever".
We've established a new era on PTCs that separate the old non-profitable model from the new one.
6 months after, I can see some new PTCs trying to follow the same path, slowly emerging and giving their tiny baby-steps.
Sad to have taken so long but I'm happy that some have finally opened their eyes and leave the pre-historical model behind.
So, we're not dead (sorry to all that lost their bets).
We're here now no longer as a proof-of-concept but as a tiny example of what we'll become.
Now that finally we've taught the lesson of how a PTC can be ran without greed (there goes another "crazy"), it's time to move along to the new NeoBux.
Many surprises to come.
Let's just say that we'll be more "crazy" than ever!
I can think of about 10 individuals that will be very upset with our future but millions of others will be happy and that's what makes me happy."

Selfish behavior

There's something going on and it's worldwide.PTCs are decreasing their amount of hits in the last days.Consult every chart you want to and check.Obviously some of you that complain can check that you haven't got any decrease in bot selling sites. You know what? Bots don't get charted in real site activity charts nor they suffer from other things.Here there's real human clickers whether you like it or not.
Clicks have increased greatly in the last days for active members but many became inactive as well.What could it be? I really don't know... I just know that's a worldwide trend and the only thing I think of is that school has something to do with it but your actions also helped... A lot!
All you whiners (few but evil) are complaining like it was the system's fault and some even accused us of a "rigged" system.Guess what? That's what you get when you got human referrals.You're used to the old stupid bot system and you like it a lot. Why? Because you buy $100 worth of referrals and you get $200. Good luck when cashing out!

Charts fix
"As all of your saw, the current charts were not displayed 50% of the time.So, all charts are being replaced with new ones.
Here's what's different:
1) The daily charts (clicks, autopay, recycle, etc) will now be show in a 15 days span and not 30 to reduce unnecessary load.
2) Smaller size. The old ones were too big and now with the time frame reduced they would seem even bigger.
3) Only Flash charts. This is the only current limitation. The chart setting on you personal settings will later be removed.
Some charts are updated while others aren't. Some are even missing.Charts will be update one by one and hopefully all will be done in the next 24 hours.After all the charts being changed I'll work on the captcha.

"As announced, there will be some changes in the referrals renting process which will help all users get more active clickers.
The following changes will go first:
TOS 3.7
Golden members that click less than 9 advertisements and Pioneer/Standard members that click less than 4 advertisements will see their referral's clicks limited.The new limitation will be based on the amount of clicks made multiplied by the number of referrals.So, for those who only do 1 click and have 100 referrals, will only receive a maximum of 100 clicks from your referrals as opposed to the previous 200.
All Golden members that click 9 or more advertisements and Pioneer/Standard members that click 4 or more advertisements will receive unlimited clicks from their referrals.
Recycling
The price for recycling will be $0.10 per referral.The current activity filter will continue.
Rental Prices
There will be new monthly rental and AutoPay prices depending on the user's membership and number of rented referrals.Direct referrals will not count towards this limit.
As you can see, if you're a Golden member with more than 1750 referrals, the monthly price is only raised by $0.07 which means that all those 1750 (or more) referrals will need to do an extra 7 clicks more per month. Standard members don't have that many referrals but even if they did, it would be 14 clicks more per month.If you think about it, that's nothing.

Rented referrals average
"You now have an average of clicks column in your rented referral's listing.This column is sortable and it works the following way:
- The average is only displayed for referrals that have been yours for more than one day
.- The average is calculated by the number of clicks divided by the number of days.
- The number of days is calculated in 24 hours blocks. This means that if you see the listing at 10:30 for example, one day is from yesterday's 10:30 until now.

- Average now calculated by total clicks made (it was being calculated by the clicks credited only) which will now show the real average of the referral's clicks independently if you got credited or not. Don't forget that the "Clicks" column shows only the clicks credited to your account so the average may differ.

For what I've mentally calculated, most of you want the current renting system. Unfortunately, that can't be done (at least as it is done right now).
So, I will give you a polished version of the current referral distribution system.
The current one distributes referrals each 12 hours. The new one will distribute them each hour of the day.
So, from 2 daily distributions we will go to 24 daily distributions.
There is a catch, though. The current limits (7 days, maximum of 2000 rented referrals) will continue to exist.But with the new system, you'll have the option to pick your daily try-to-get-the-referrals time.
How? Easy...
In your profile there will an option where you'll pick the 2 times of the day you want to rent referrals.So, to you, it's basically the same system... but even better as you can pick the times.These times will be definitive (unchangeable) or they could be changed after a few days. I still have to define it better.
So, besides this being great to you as you can pick when to fight, the server will thank you.
The chances of getting a pack will be related to how many users have choses the same times as you because the pack available twice per day will have to be divided for the 24 hours.
So, did I get it right this time? Do you approve such a method?"

The new referral distribution system

I know that many of you like that pretty F5 key (yes the one with nothing written in it of so many key presses) so much that you make the server safeguard itself from attacks.Yes, that "service unavailable" message is a way the server has to tell you: "I'm under attack so I'll only give you the page you requested until the users who are hammering me stop doing it".But, even though this was mentioned many times, that pretty evil F5 key is still there at everyone's fingertip.
So, as education in internet standards is out of the question, something else had to be done.
Here's the brand new referral distribution system: Random referral distribution.
The day has 24 hours, right? (to me sometime more but I love it).So, all the packs that were distributed at 5:00 and 17:00 (at server time) will now be randomly available throughout the day.But, as I know you all are starting to get a little sick of that grey "Rent referrals" button.So, you'll get a warning in the page telling you take a pack is available.You click, you'll get it (if someone doesn't beat you to it).No confirmation needed because you're all golden members and if you click it is because you'll want to.
So, randomly means really randomly.One pack can be available at 1:14, another at 1:54, another at 3:12 or even two at the same time.
This way, the server loses the "I'm being attacked" trauma and you won't have to wake up early or go to bed later (unless you have a better excuse, of course).
The 7 day limit and the max 2000 referral limit still remains.
This may be available before or after the next distribution. When its available, I'll post an announcement.
I'll just ask you all an important (and by important I mean: think about it) question: How many referrals should there be available for each pack.
Before you answer the biggest pack available, please remember this: The bigger the pack, the less packs available throughout the day which means less changes for all of your.
Please think this clearly and answer only when you finished thinking.
ETA: There will still be one or two (perhaps maybe more) more "service unavailable" distributions until this is implemented. "

I have been expecting this for some time. It was quite a load everyone trying to scramble at the exact same time to get refs. Lucky ones got them. Many were unlucky.
I personally think it's a much better way. They are voting on how many is the highest amount of refs that can be rented for Goldens per week. Currently it is set at 100 but may be reduced to 50 or 70. That will take earnings a bit longer to accumulate but I think it will be much better for the site itself and its sustainability. The main problem for PTC sites is the sustainability aspect. If it doesn't have careful management and changes made accordingly they are destined to fail.

About the referrals and the golden members
"I'm very disappointed at some of our members.While we continue to struggle to get you the best referrals we have, some continue to make topics after topics like they were the only golden member here.
We have referrals.They are active.But we only offer what we got. It's that simple.Also, and while not obliged to do so, we only distribute the active referrals. Good or bad, they click.
It's really sad that some of you (luckily most of you don't) complaint of something that it's way beyond our control.
Many users are used to go to a site and have always a 500 referral pack of pre-defined (a.k.a. bot) referrals.NeoBux is what it is today because we give you transparency in everything we do and offer you not only the hardware/software security but also the security that you can count on truthfulness.
I know that it's hard to be true but we'll continue that way.Unfortunately, "truth" and "transparency" are innovations in this world and some just don't want that.
How will we remedy this?There's not an easy solution but there are preventive measure.
So, in 24 hours from now, Golden membership will be priced at $100.This will reduce the number of new Golden members and it will still be a bargain if you consider everything you'll earn from it.

Server Downtime (part 2)
"It's been a hell of a day.I've never seen so much bad luck and problems in just one day.The server's network problem should be fixed by now and hopefully it will continue working flawlessly.
Please understand that this was way beyond our responsibility and control.The best thing is that we had (and still have) some of world's best engineers working on this issue.A great "Thank you" to all of them. They really deserve it for being restlessly working with us on this.Not even a weekend stops these hard-workers.
Another good thing is that many of you clicked in the middle of this chaos so it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be.
I know that this isn't our fault but we love our members.
So, I've took the liberty to:
1) Remove TOS 3.7 limitations for today (started only at the server's 5 am, sorry)
2) Add 2 more days to your referral's due date (yes, they'll be yours for another 2 days for free).

We've made this little test of purchases and payouts to see if they've really changed their commitment to the PTC industry.And, even by following every possible rule in their agreements, it seems that they still don't like PTCs.And no, the reason they've given us isn't valid.

PayPal Purchase is now LIVE!
"Thank you all that helped us with the previous purchase tests.
Rules
The following rules must be followed for every purchase made using PayPal.They may change. If they do change, an announcement will be made in the forum.
Only for PayPal verified users
You need to be PayPal verified to be able to purchase any of our services.
If you make a purchase and you do not have a verified PayPal account, the purchase will be immediately refunded as we won't accept it.
This means you'll see a purchase at your PayPal account and a few moments later a refund for that purchase.
If the automatic refund fails for any reason, the refund can take up to 5 business days.Multiple attempts in trying to pay with an unverified PayPal account will lead to your NeoBux account suspension.
Hacks
If you try to alter any value (like price) and try to pay using that modified value, your NeoBux account will be suspended and no refunds will be given on your purchase.
Please be aware that, in this situation, while your payment will be made, your NeoBux account won't be credited for the purchase.
Chargebacks
Chargebacks and / or reversed purchases will lead to an immediate account suspension.
Available purchases
The only purchase you can make using PayPal are:
- Golden membership upgrade / extension
- Add funds to your Renting Balance
- Advertisement clicks.

Rent-a-Ref is LIVE
"I have the pleasure to announce to you that NeoBux's Rent-a-Ref is now Live!It was supposed to happen in two days from now but it came earlier.
All pre-ordered referrals have been added to the respective user's accounts and ready to click.If you came late for this announcement, don't worry... they've must have clicked in the meantime.
Right now, I'll explain how the renting system works (for both pre-orders and new orders).
The selection
All referrals distributed today and all that will be rented in the future (only when available) will be pre-selected.This means that if we have a 100 referral pack, this referrals have clicked at least 10 advertisements in the last 5 days.We will not rent inactive referrals. When you get them, they are active.However, we cannot guarantee that they will continue to be active next year, next month or even the next day.At least you'll be renting good clickers at the time.
The renting process (coming soon)
Each user can rent referrals.The number of referrals will be available first in packs and later you can rent them individually (no, you cannot rent half referrals).
The prices will be as follows:
Golden members: $0.20 per referral/month
Pioneer members: $0.25 per referral/month
Standard members: $0.30 per referral/month
As soon as you rent them, you'll be paying them to work for a whole month.Can you imagine having 500 referrals for only $100?
AutoPay
This is the best way to keep your referrals.You can enable or disable this feature at any time.
Here's how it works:On the first click a referral makes per day, you'll pay us for another day to rent that refs.If the referral does not click, you won't pay him for another day.Please note that you can only activate AutoPay for referrals that have 20 or more days left paid until next month's payment.
So, imagine you rented 500 referrals by spending $100 for a month.Instead of paying $100 again at the next due date (yes, it hurts), you can pay for them daily.In the end, you'll save $10 and you'll never run out of referrals.Also, you don't have to worry about the due date.While it's easier to pay this way, it's also cheaper for you because you save 10% of a whole month's rent.
The daily AutoPay prices are:

So, go to your account, click on Referrals and then on the "Rented Referrals List".You will see the "AutoPay" status.Enable or disable it as you prefer.No late payments, no hassle.This is AutoPay.
Inactive referral replacement
If any referral stops clicking for 14 days in a row, you'll get a free replacement.The process will be automatic and will be available for every member.The new referral will continue where the old one left.
Referral Recycling
As you pay for your referrals, I know you want to have control over them in order to build an excellent team.This is where referral recycling enters.If you don't like a particular referral or a group of them, you can exchange them fast and easy.For only $0.05 per referral, you just click the recycle button and after you confirm, you'll get a new guaranteed active referral in return.So, you can recycle your laziest referrals.Nothing more simple.The new referral will continue where the old one left.
Renting Balance (coming soon)
This is a parallel balance you'll have.This balance will work in the same way the Jackpot's tickets balance works.Imagine it like a pre-paid card.You can add money to it from your NeoBux account or from AlertPay.All referral's click profit will go to your Main Account Balance.The Renting Balance will be the first choice to pay for "AutoPay", "Referral Recycling" and to rent new or continue to pay for referrals.If you happen to have zero balance in your "Renting Balance", the amount required will be taken from your "Main Balance" instead.This way, you'll be able to pay small amounts (like the "AutoPay") without purchasing them every time.This feature is currently available. The one thing missing is the ability to add money to this balance. Coming soon.
Cache
While the referral clicks will be added in realtime to your account, I've decided to cache them from 1 to 10 minutes depending on server load.The clicks will almost duplicate and this will help maintain the site's stability and still offering you an almost realtime stats update.I predict that the average cache will be around 5 minutes.
